The GT3 driver is engineered for incredibly fast ball speeds and maximum adjustability, perfect for players aiming to enhance their distance and control. The new Adjustable CG Track, now positioned closer to the face than in the TSR3, allows golfers and fitters to choose from five CG locations (H2, H1, N, T1, T2), aligning the CG setting with their strike tendencies. This precise CG placement boosts speed and consistency in ball flight, further amplified by the track's forward position in the GT3.
The GT3 features a 460cc clubhead, maintaining the same volume as the GT2, but with a more compact, pear-shaped appearance and a taller clubface. Its more aerodynamic design, compared to the TSR3, results in faster clubhead speeds.
Central to the GT3’s innovations are the new Seamless Thermoform Crown and Split Mass Construction, which together deliver increased ball speeds and enhanced stability.
Each model in the GT lineup features an ultra-lightweight crown made from a new Proprietary Matrix Polymer. This revolutionary material, previously unused in golf clubhead design, provided Titleist engineers with unprecedented opportunities for internal weight positioning, leading to significant performance gains. The crown is seamlessly wrapped to the sole using an advanced thermoforming process, creating a smooth look with no visible seams or transitions.
In adopting a multi-material construction, one of Titleist’s top priorities was to maintain the classic sound of their metal clubs. The unique acoustic properties of the Proprietary Matrix Polymer enabled engineers to fine-tune the sound and feel of the club, while still taking full advantage of the weight-saving benefits of the new GT construction.
The weight savings from the GT’s Thermoform Crown allowed Titleist engineers to strategically re-position discretionary weight within the clubhead. By pushing mass towards both the front, enhancing speed through optimal CG placement, and the rear, ensuring stable, high-MOI performance, the GT series achieves a perfect balance. Each of the three models offers different CG placements, allowing players to select the ideal combination of speed, launch angle, and spin for their game with three unique setups.
Enhanced internal construction and optimized weight distribution have enabled significant aerodynamic improvements across the three GT models. These refinements, previously unattainable due to design constraints, result in sleeker profiles that reduce drag and increase clubhead speed.
The GT series' exceptionally fast face is driven by two key technologies. The upgraded titanium Speed Ring reinforces and stabilizes the clubface perimeter, maximizing ball speed on center strikes. Additionally, Variable Face Thickness (VFT) ensures consistently fast ball speeds on off-center hits, reducing excessive distance loss.
The GT models showcase new face graphics designed to frame the ball squarely at address. This improvement, inspired by Tour player prototyping and feedback, helps golfers align the ball with the club's center more confidently.
