Titleist GT2 Fairway Wood

The GT2 fairway wood offers high launch, low spin, and outstanding forgiveness. Available in five different lofts, it allows players to fine-tune their distance gaps at the top of their bag. Featuring an inviting profile and shallow face, the GT2 is perfect for golfers with a sweeping swing when using fairway woods.

Features and Technology

Seamless Thermoform Crown

The ultra-lightweight Seamless Thermoform Crown on the GT2 and GT3 fairway woods is crafted from the same advanced Proprietary Matrix Polymer used in GT drivers. This material is about five times lighter than steel, providing significant weight savings compared to previous fairway wood crowns while preserving Titleist’s signature sound and feel. The crown's seamless design ensures a player-preferred look at address without sacrificing any performance benefits from GT's multi-material construction. To meet different center of gravity targets, the GT2’s crown incorporates more Proprietary Matrix Polymer than the GT3.

Low CG

The weight savings from the Seamless Thermoform Crown in the GT fairway woods enabled Titleist engineers to reposition the center of gravity for optimal performance. In the GT2, the CG is positioned lower and closer to the face, resulting in higher launch and lower spin compared to the TSR2 model. In the GT3, the CG is set deeper to promote higher launch while maintaining low, yet manageable, spin levels.

Forged L-Cup Face

The clubface on GT fairways is meticulously engineered to enhance performance on low-face strikes. Featuring a new insert that wraps around the bottom of the club, this design helps preserve ball speed, reduce excessive spin, and improve sound and feel. The insert's advanced construction ensures that even off-center hits benefit from consistent distance and trajectory, making the GT fairways exceptionally forgiving. Additionally, the refined acoustics and tactile feedback provide players with a satisfying experience, boosting confidence with every swing. This innovation ensures that golfers achieve optimal results, even when contact is less than perfect.

Tour-Inspired Shaping

Both the GT2 and GT3 fairway woods have undergone refined shaping. Titleist engineers have flattened the sole curvature from heel to toe on both models, giving the clubhead a lower profile appearance. This adjustment also ensures that toe and heel strikes make contact higher on the face, increasing forgiveness.

In response to Tour feedback, the GT3 now features a taller face, distinguishing it from the GT2 and catering to a broader range of player preferences. This differentiation allows golfers to choose the model that best suits their individual needs and playing style.
